In this review paper, the creep behavior of Nickel-base single crystal superalloy is studied, the aim of the study is creep behavior of Nickel-base single crystal superalloy, there are two different type of creep behavior can be shown in the creep curve. The primary creep is characterized by the high amplitude at test conditions of (760˚C, 600 M Pa) and (850˚C, 550M Pa) the primary creep strain is limited at (980˚C, 250 M Pa) (1100˚C 140M Pa) and (1120˚C, 120M Pa). The microstructure evolution of γ phase, TPC phase and dislocation characteristic after creep rupture was studied by SEM and TPC. The γ/γ microstructure of crystals in the BSE image, the bright area is γ matrix and the dark area is the γ′ phase.

Pages: 135 - 138
In highly competitive manufacturing industries nowadays, the manufactures ultimate goals are to produce high quality product with less cost and time constraints. Milling machine is one of the most commonly used machine to machining different types of material. So our goal is to increase productivity without affecting product quality. So we need to increase material removal rate. For achieving this goal increase material removal rate at minimum level of surface roughness and increase the productivity. There are many work done for finding the maximum material removal rate for different materials. There are three different cutting parameters affect more on material removal rate such as a spindle speed, feed rate and depth of cut. In this review shows that the effect of different cutting parameters which influence on material removal rate and surface roughness. Also shows that different cutting parameters how much effect on material removal rate and surface roughness.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 6
Pages: 152 - 157
At present time the conventional sources of energy like oil, gas, coal etc. are mostly used to produce the energy. But their resources are very few and which are near to end so these fuels are getting very costly day by day. So now a day it is necessary to think about the use of non conventional energy sources like wind, solar, tidal, geothermal etc. Wind turbine is used for wind energy. Wind turbines are used to produce electricity from kinetic energy of the wind by rotating moment of the blades by using generator and coil mechanism. The angle and material of blade if most important factor to produce wind energy. The material composition gives the strength and service life to the wind turbine blade. Many different materials are used to make this blade like Fiber Reinforced polymer, Carbon nano tubes, Glass fiber, Epoxy etc. These are used as per the size and shape of the blade. But all different materials have different properties and different service life.

Pages: 161 - 166
Life enhancing at all times had been one of the concentrating phases in Wireless Sensor Networks. Higher amount of energy is devastated during transmission process of data exchanging in between base station and sensor nodes. Data gathering is a familiar but critically operated in many applications of wireless sensor networks due to shortage of energy quantity. Modern techniques that progress energy efficiency to extend the network lifetime are extremely obligatory. Clustering being one among effective ways to lengthen life span due to its flexibility, reliability and scalability .In this paper, we propose a novel scheme Fuzzy abiding cluster formation protocol(FACFP) that make use of Mamdani's descriptors to successfully control data gathering applications. The proposed scheme considers: Energy, Concentration and Centrality in chorus to elect cluster head among nodes that make this approach energy efficient and more feasible. Simulation reveals projected scheme, curtail energy consumption and boost lifetime of network.

India is a country, which has large road network but to maintain road quality with minimum cost is a big deal. And with this one more challenge is there, how to manage solid waste? The purpose of this research is to help both the things. Plastic waste consisting of carry bags, cups, and thermocoles can be used as a coating over aggregate and this coated stone can be used for the road construction. The generation of waste plastic is increasing day by day, the major polymers namely polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene shows adhesion property in their molten state. Stone aggregate is coated with the molten waste plastics. The coating of plastic reduces the porosity, absorption of moisture and improves soundness. The polymer coated aggregate bitumen mix forms better material for flexible pavement construction as the mix shows higher Marshall Stability value and suitable Marshall Coefficient. Hence the use of waste plastic for flexible pavement is one of the best method for easy disposal of waste plastic. Moreover the polymer coated aggregate helps to use crumb rubber modified bitumen resulting in better result.

Mechanical Engineering
Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 6
Pages: 170 - 179
The small wind turbine industry has recently seen a significant amount of growth due to the need for energy storage and a reduced dependence on fossil fuels in rural environments. A novel vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) has been developed that consists of several vertically-stacked segments. Compu¬tational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations were performed in the present study using ANSYS CFX, a commercially-available CFD package, to characterize the behaviour of the new VAWT. Static three-dimensional CFD simulations were conducted. The static torque characteristics of the turbine and the simplicity of design highlight its suitability for the small wind turbine market. The major factor for generating the power through the VAWT is the velocity of air and the position of the blade angle in the VAWT blade assembly. The study presents the effect of the position of the blade angle from 0 degree to the 30 degree on the power developed by the VAWT. Literature revealed that some parameter like wind speed, tip-speed ratio, air-strike angle, solidity, surface roughness, pitch angle has significant sensitivity for the efficiency change to the performance of the vertical axis wind turbine. So the parameter like wind speed, tip-speed ratio, air strike angle are likely to use in the research for these dissertation work. CFD workbench of ANSYS is used to carry out the virtue simulation and testing. The software generated test results are validated through the experimental readings. Through this obtainable result will be in the means of maximum constant power generation from VAWT.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 6
Pages: 180 - 183
Automation and digitalization are the key factors of advancement in technology. Thus, this project gives an insight to such a system where manufacturing machinery can be monitored from any corner of the world. Here, a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) will be used for controlling and monitoring the machine parameters. An on-screen machinery will be created for user interaction where by using different switches, various faults can be inserted into the machine through PLC and using SCADA, the output can be obtained on the SCADA screen and mobile. If any kind of fault occurs in the machine parameters, immediately an alert SMS will be received on the SCADA screen (created using RS LOGIX-500), as well as on the mobile (using VISUAL BASIC). Also, on-line machine status monitoring and production tracking can be easily achieved through this system.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 6
Pages: 184 - 187
Information extraction in high-spatial resolution imagery has been the idea of many researchers all around the world. Several methods are used to inherit information from remote sensing data. The arrival of high-spatial resolution imagery necessitates new refined image processing algorithms for varied remote sensing applications such as segmentation of various regions in image. Image segmentation is defined as the process of isolating an image into non-overlapping and homogenous regions which is a necessary step toward higher level image processing namely automatic image interpretation, image analysis etc. Its performance decides the concluding result of a computer visual task. This paper surveys various methods which developed recently used for Remote sensing image segmentation. Each method is differentiated with other surveyed method and comparative measures of methods are presented which provides the merits and demerits of various image segmentation methods.
