Pages: 1 - 5
Today's internet world consists of tremendous amount of audio and video data which is consuming more space on clouds and servers. Even streaming of such audio and video data requires lot of efforts from hardware as well as software point of view, which increase the cost of service. So today there is need to convert this audio/video into some digital form which can be easily accessible and the downloaded over the internet. Segmentation gives the best approach for dividing the multimedia data into digital data by extracting different features of multimedia data. This paper introduces new technique to segment the audio signals and extract the different features in feature vector so that this data will be reproduced after transmission over the internet. With feature extraction from audio, it is possible to recognize the content of a piece of audio. This paper explains the need for audio feature extraction system, and also describes the most important attributes such as Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient, Zero Crossing Ratio, Linear Predictive Coefficient, Signal to Noise Ratio, Spectrum Flux, Power Spectrum, RMS etc.

Year: 2016, Volume:2, Issue : 9
Pages: 6 - 11
This paper presents the findings of a study to investigate the driving forces leading to adoption for Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects. A questionnaire survey was conducted in Gujarat (India), Hong Kong and Australia. The survey respondents were asked to rate the importance of nine identified reasons for implementing PPP projects. The findings of the top three ranks for each respondent group were investigated. Ranked top by the survey respondents in Gujarat (India) was 'Shortage of Government funding'. Ranked second by all three groups of survey respondents was 'Economic development pressure demanding more facilities'. Third in Gujarat (India) and Hong Kong and first in Australia was 'High quality of service required'. The rankings showed that in general those rated highly in the Gujarat (India) focused on financial elements whereas those rated highly in Hong Kong and Australia were more related to the overall performance of improving public projects. These findings were believed to provide an idea of the possible reasons for implementing PPP projects, and as a result illustrate a clearer understanding of the process.

Antennas is the essential part of the wireless communications. Most of them are Microstrip Patch Antennas, Monopole antenna, and Folded Dipole Antennas. Each antenna is good in their own properties and usage. It can be said that antennas are the backbone and almost everything in the wireless communication without which the one cannot imagine wireless communication. This paper presents the designs of Rectangular microstrip patch antenna for 5.8 GHz communication. One of the antennas is Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna (RMPA) and Second Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna with defect ground structure. Basic property of both the antenna like simulated design, Return loss, directivity, Radiation Pattern and bandwidth are discussed. This work shows that bandwidth of Antenna in RMPA with DGS is increased about 39.57% which is great deal in antenna designing system, return losses of designed antenna is also decreased by 25.923%, gain and directivity of the proposed antenna is almost same. Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna with DGS also reduces the size of antenna which is always a basic need of Patch antenna design system.

Year: 2016, Volume:2, Issue : 9
Pages: 28 - 34
Pump piping system is most common system in any society, industry and chemical plants. Pump piping is used in almost twenty percent of piping in the world. Hence optimization of this system is critical in terms of capital and annual savings. Many researchers have thrown light on optimization of pump piping considering hydraulics of lines. One of the deciding mechanical design parameter for the selection of pump is force exerted on the pump nozzle by connected piping. By using different piping configurations, effect of force exerted on pump nozzle is being studied in this paper. This force is being calculated and compared for different piping configurations by analytical method and piping analysis software. The strain of piping in these different piping configurations at a particular point is being measured experimentally and compared with piping analysis software results. The most optimum configuration which exerts lesser force on Pump nozzle is being suggested.

Year: 2016, Volume:2, Issue : 9
Pages: 35 - 42
Spring back is a main defect occurred in the sheet-metal forming processes. In press working where sheet metal is given the required shape by using press, it is very much required to consider the variation in dimension after removal of the applied force. This work deals with analysis of spring back occurring in L- bending process of aluminium alloy. Comparison is made by varying various parameters like material thickness, rate of feed and settle time after bending. Various quality control tools like Taguchi analysis, ANOVA are applied to find most significant parameter affecting spring back obtained in L-bending process. Reverse bending technique is useful for minimization of spring back obtained in L bending. Efforts are made towards reducing the spring back using Reverse bending approach. The aim of the work is to identify various design parameters on which spring back depends and mainly focuses on experimental investigation of factors related to material and process parameters related to L-bending process using Aluminium (HE 9) which is commonly used for L-bending. These parameters include thickness, rate of feeding and time for which punch is kept in contact with specimen. Efforts are made towards minimisation of spring back using reverse bending tool.

Audio Watermarking using DWT-SVD-BFO
Nancy Tayal ; Nikita Sagar
Computer Engineering
Year: 2016, Volume:2, Issue : 9
Pages: 43 - 48
The main aim of this work is to develop a new watermarking algorithm within an existing discrete wavelet Transform (DWT) and singular value decomposition (SVD) framework. This resulted in the development of a combination of DWT-SVD-BFO (bacterial foraging optimization) watermarking algorithm. In this new implementation, the embedding depth was generated dynamically thereby rendering it more difficult for an attacker to remove, and watermark information was embedded by manipulation of the spectral components in the spatial domain thereby reducing any audible distortion. Further improvements were attained when the embedding criteria was based on bin location comparison instead of magnitude, thereby rendering it more robust against those attacks that interfere with the spectral magnitudes. The further aim of this thesis is to analyze the algorithm from a different perspective.
