  Numerically Controlled Oscillator (NCO) is an important component in many Digital Communication Systems such as Digital Radio and Modems, Software Defined Radios, Digital Down/Up converters for Cellular and PCS base stations etc. This work presents a technique for the generation of analog sinusoidal signals with high spectra quality and reduced circuitry resources. A common method for digitally Generating a complex or real valued sinusoid employs a Look-Up table based scheme. NCO is a new technology of Frequency synthesis; It is developed the using third generation of Frequency synthesis technology. The technique of NCO is gaining popularity as a method of generating Sinusoidal signals and modulated signals in digital systems. The test Results are matching with theoretical and simulated results. Numerically Controlled Oscillator (NCO) is an important component in many Digital Communication Systems such as Digital Radio and Modems, Software Defined Radios, Digital Down/Up converters for Cellular and PCS base stations etc. The NCO Design is first simulated and optimized on the software tool MICROWIND 3.5 using a standard 45 nm technology.

  This paper realizes the state of affairs in computer systems research positioned by the emerging field of pervasive computing. It first analyse the relationship of this new field to its predecessors: distributed systems and mobile computing. It then identifies four new research thrusts: impressive use of smart spaces, invisibility, localized scalability, and masking uneven conditioning. Next, it summarizes a couple of hypothetical pervasive computing scenarios, and uses them to identify key capabilities missing from today’s systems. The paper appressed with a discussion of the research necessary to develop these capabilities.

  Power factor is an important performance parameter of electric network. This parameter becomes very significant when power electronics circuits are used in different application. Active power factor is one of the method used to improve the power factor but it is very costly. Valley fill circuit is a passive power factor used with power electronic circuit particularly with artificial light application. The objective of this paper is to analyze valley fill circuit with simulation and hardware. Simulation is done by using PSIM simulation software and a prototype hardware is made for comparison.

  Mobile Ad hoc Networks consist of nodes that are located in dynamically operated environment. As nodes in a MANET do not have any predefined infrastructure or topology and more over they are indefinitely mobile, they are susceptible to intrusion and attack. Security of nodes forms an important feature in this type of network. Mobile nodes do not have any confined architecture and moreover they are not bound to any particular area it is highly difficult to trace and the details of every node in a boundary dependent area. In this review article we try to formulate the aspects of intrusion detection systems and its approaches in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks and a comparative study on following parameters, Architecture, types of attacks addressed, use methods and its overhead.

  The use of plant fiber reinforced composite has continuously increased during recent years. Because it as more advantages such as low weight, low density, high strength, high stiffness, faster assembly, corrosion resistance, higher environmental friendly, reduced cost, biodegradable, low energy consumption, they are used as a material for various purpose such as aircraft, medical equipment’s, space vehicles, electronic equipment’s, and home applicants. When compared to that of the conventional composite it as more advantages. When compare to the glass fiber it as more advantages such as biodegradable, recyclability, renewability, so the usage of natural fiber was increased more. Thus the good quality, cost effectiveness, manufacturing of NFHRC become imperative. In the present contribution, the alkali treated Roselle and sisal fibers are fabricated and the mechanical properties such as tensile, flexural, impact were determined based on the weight and length of the fibers, and the fiber of different weight proposition were also fabricated and characterized. The treated fiber as high mechanical properties when compared to the untreated fiber reinforced hybrid polyester composite. The positive hybrid effect was observed that the tensile, the flexural strength increased with fiber length and content. The negative hybrid effect is observed that the impact strength decrease with the fiber length and content. This result suggests that the correct and optimum weight %and length of treated Roselle and sisal fibers the expected mechanical properties can be achieved. By using the above result, the vehicle scoop was fabricated using natural fiber and the impact test was performed and it was compared with the glass fiber composite scoop.

  In this paper we describes what is wear mechanism, how they can be effected in mechanical process. Mechanism of wear are reviewed and categorized (i) adhesive; occurs between the materials in two surface under relative load are stronger than the inherent material properties of the either surfaces. (ii) abrasive; occurs between surfaces of different relative hardness (iii) third body; occurs when hard particles become embedded in a soft surface (iv) corrosive; occurs by corrosive environment and (v) surface fatigue; occurs as result of the formation and growth of cracks. Many types of wear reduction method are used for controlling a wear. This paper describes briefly the wear reduction method which is currently used or proposed in industrial machine. We also describe the effect, caused and test criteria of wear. Efforts made in this study may enhance understanding of wear mechanisms and reduce the wear.

  This paper presents Car Parking Complex with online booking system. The idea is to detect the presence of a car, count and display the number of cars at the entry point, exit point and the parking slots at each floor and thus manage the vehicle parking using IR sensors. The purpose of the study is to reduce the time spent over to determine if slots are available. A combination of sensors and gates is used to mechanize the system. The output of IR sensor is used to drive a geared motor which is used to open/ close the gate at the entry/ exit points. Another aspect of the project deals with the option of booking online of slots via a site. Raspberry pi 2 model B+ (minicomputer) interfaces the slots with the website. The motor, QR code scanner and website act as the output. The paper ends with the recommendation of integrating the experimental prototype with the human machine interface or (HMI) and to provide a display for the count of vehicle.

  Power factor correction (PFC) is a technique of counteracting the undesirable effects of electric loads that create a power factor that is less than one. In this study, many small rating capacitors are connected in parallel and a reference power factor is set as standard value into the Microcontroller 16F877A IC. Suitable number of static capacitors is automatically connected according to the instruction of the Microcontroller 16F877A to improve the power factor close to unity. Many control methods for the Power Factor Correction (PFC) have been proposed. This work describes the design and development of a power factor corrector using PIC (Programmable Interface Controller) Microcontroller 16F877A chip. Measuring of power factor from load is achieved by using PIC Microcontroller 16F877A-based developed algorithm to determine and trigger sufficient switching of capacitors in order to compensate demand of excessive reactive power locally, thus bringing power factor near to unity.

  This paper talks about the vector control of three phase active front end rectifier employed using space vector pulse width modulation (svpwm) scheme. The major problems that tend to deteriorate the power quality mains are the current harmonics injected in the utility due to non-linear loads and resulting low power factor of load. Using the instantaneous reactive power theory and voltage oriented vector control idea; a dual channel closed-loop control strategy is built, which in turn mitigates the major problems mentioned above. The proposed control can stabilize the minimum of the system storage function at the desired equilibrium point determined by unity power factor, sinusoidal current on ac side and constant output voltage on dc side. A simulation of three phase active front end rectifier is verified under different loads. The simulation results show that the system has a characteristic of good anti-interference performance and fast dynamic response.
