Increase in the Productivity is the important factor for the organization to achieve the maximum output in required time. In today's world different types of plastic bags are used like carrying, security and for storage purpose. In production unit there are some unwanted processes which are taking extra time & effort. The production line of a company is taken as a case study and effort is made to reduce the lead time and material handling time. Main aim of this project is to increase the productivity of the Bag Making Industry using different techniques and methods. Different types of techniques used for increasing the productivity are SLP (Systematic Layout Planning), Proper Handling of material, Lead Time Reduction and different types of methods used are Operation Process Chart, Flow Process Chart, and String diagram.

The scarcity of water is a major problem in the large part of the world. The problem is so severe that many countries are fighting to solve the problem of potable water and many people are even becoming the victims of the deceases because of intake of impure water. The purification of water is energy intensive process. Solar distillation is attractive alternative as it uses solar energy. It is also easy in construction, simple in operation, has low maintenance and operating cost. Solar stills are easy to construct, can be done by local people from locally available materials, simple in operation by unskilled personnel, no hard maintenance requirements and almost no operation cost. But they have the disadvantages of high initial cost, large land requirement for installation and have output dependent on the available solar radiation. If there is no sunshine, the productivity is almost zero for conventional basin type model. However, from the simplest basin type models of solar still in earlier days, researchers have progressed a lot to increase its efficiency.

Unlike soil, rock mass is a heterogeneous material containing discontinuities in the form of joints, faults, rock fragments and various degrees of weathering. Any structure involving rock requires the knowledge of deformability characteristics of intact rock and the rock mass containing discontinuities. There are many methods available for the determination of modulus of rock mass in the field. However, these methods have many limitations. The present paper is based on the deformability characteristics of garnetiferous quartzo-feldspathic gneiss rock mass in southern part of India.

The aim of the present research work is to investigate the influence of Jatropha bio-diesel properties on various characteristics of a direct injection compression ignition engine. The experiments were performed at different engine operating regimes with the injection timing prescribed by the engine manufacturer for diesel fuel. The engine characteristics with Jatropha bio-diesel were compared against those obtained using diesel fuel. From the results, it is observed that the bio-diesel performance and emissions are lower than that of diesel fuel. However, the NOx emission Jatropha bio-diesel is more than that of diesel fuel. These high NOx emissions are due to the presence of unsaturated fatty acids and the advanced injection caused by the higher bulk modulus (or density) and high viscosity of Jatropha bio-diesel. Furthermore, the possibility for reduction of NOx emissions without expensive engine modifications (hardware) was investigated. Keeping this in mind, the Jatropha bio-diesel was preheated. The experimental results show that the retarded injection timing is necessary when using Jatropha bio-diesel in order to reduce NOx emission without worsening other engine characteristics. Results also indicate improved performance with the application of preheated bio-diesel. The only penalty for using preheated bio-diesel is the increase of smoke (soot).

Pages: 73 - 81
The inverter efficiency can be computed with its switching frequency. This switching frequency can be increased by using the method space vector PWM which is an optimum pulse width modulation technique. In this paper a survey of implementing space vector pulse width modulation with different processors is made. The SVPWM is implemented using DSP, Microcontroller ATmega16 and Artificial neural network. Further the comparison between the three processors is made and is concluded that the response time of DSP is very fast, high switching frequency, reduced harmonics and modulation index can be varied from 0.3 to 0.9.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 9
Pages: 82 - 90
Low rating wind power generators have attracted the general public for distribution of power. Generally smaller rating wind turbines are fed to single phase inverters in which there is reduced power extraction. However there is need to develop three phase inverters for various applications such as irrigation systems, small scale industries, domestic applications and variable frequency drives. In view of this a three phase voltage source inverter is designed and fabricated for 1.5kW wind turbine installed at B. E.C Energy Park. SPWM and SVPWM techniques are employed for the proposed three phase inverter. The performance of both SPWM and SVPWM are compared in terms of power quality. The above results are validated by experimental setup.

Increasing crime rates all over the world have lead us to some serious concerns. While we are busy finding punishments for criminals, we tend to forget the fact that prevention is always a better solution. In today’s world, social media has become the key to deciphering a personality. Through our system, we aim to utilize the data extracted from various social media platforms in order to narrow down the key factors which might lead to a potential criminal mindset. We make use of a premium integrated development environment i.e. RStudio to arrive at a conclusion which will be in terms of criminal potential in any individual. Personality trait analysis has been a subject of interest for years but in the proposed system, we aim to use clustering as well as classification algorithms to have a more accurate analysis of the personalities which will be classified on the basis of the Five Factor Model. The five factors have been defined as openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism (OCEAN).

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 9
Pages: 98 - 100
Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is non-traditional machining processes. EDM process is based on thermoelectric energy between the work piece and a tool electrode. A pulse discharge occurs in a small gap between the work piece and the tool electrode and removes the unwanted material from the material through melting and vaporizing. The present study discusses about having an overview of the Electrical discharge machining process, and influence of process parameters like input current, pulse on time and pulse off time on performance parameter such as MRR, EWR and over cut. This study discusses about controlling the process parameters and optimization of process parameters in EDM process. From the review, it has been observed that the machining process can be improved by process parameters like current, pulse on time and pulse off time and also observed that electrodes material also effect on the material removal rate, electrode wear rate and over cut.

In this present scenario of industrialization, a fabrication shop play vital role for any manufacturing industry. The initial step involved in any fabrication shop are based on cutting of plate and obtain high surface finish to attain high accuracy now a day non-conventional machining are become life line of many industry. In this work of Plasma Arc Cutting (PAC) show the effect Speed (mm/Sec.), Current (A), Stand of Distance (mm) on IS 2062 (E250) Steel Material. In this Experiment we have done Experiment by using Taguchi design methods and ANOVA analysis for MRR and Surface roughness by performing cuts of different run sets of L9 orthogonal Array.

With over five billion coconuts harvested every year, coconuts play a huge role in the economy of several regions and countries. In India prominent places of harvested are the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. The majority of coconuts are harvested by climbing the tree and cutting the nuts by hand. This process may seem simple; however, it is actually quite dangerous. In response, there is a genuine need to develop a device for coconut tree climbing and harvesting. We hereby studied various research papers related to the work in this area. There is large scope of development in this topic because of the cost and complexity of various devices available in the market. So the major objective of this study is to design a prototype of the device for coconut tree climbing and harvesting containing less complexities and which is comparatively less costly.
