  Severe natural Hazard, like e.g. tsunamis or earthquakes, often lead to catastrophes with spectacular consequences. In these days natural disasters caused loss hundreds of thousands of human, damage to infrastructure, disturbance of financial activity and loss of billions of money worth of material. This presents the hazard mapping for Tsunami and strategy for Tsunami evacuation for Diu (20.4283° N, 72.8397° E) and western coast of Gujarat state on Indian subcontinent. The purpose of this study is to develop tsunami hazard maps by analyzing the coastal inundation characteristics of Gujarat. The need for the study is to aware people for the hazard of tsunami and saving maximum lives when tsunami occurs there. The overall goal of this study is preparing a tsunami evacuation map for Diu city and western cost of Gujarat state. The past historical earthquakes of Tsunamigenic source of Makran subduction zone which was responsible for causing tsunami on western coast of Gujarat. The outcomes of this study can be utilized by public policy and decision makers in developing disaster management strategies.

  An experimental study had made on waste product and utilizing it for manufacturing of concrete. The disposal of waste tires is becoming a major waste management problem in the world at the moment. The results of an experimental investigation to study the effects of partial replacement of cement with flay ash in rubberized concrete. The percentage of rubber used in this study was 5% replaced with coarse aggregate and fly ash varies from 0-20% were replaced with cement in conventional concrete. One size of tire rubber chips are used of about 10mm.The mix design was targeted to be M35 grade of concrete. The mix proportion of concrete was 1:1.8:2.41 with water cement ratio of 0.45.The fresh and hardened properties of rubberized concrete produced at three different replacements ratios of fly ash compared to the conventional concrete without rubber and fly ash. A total of 85 cubes, cylinders and beam specimens were cast with the replacement of cement by fly ash with the proportion of 10, 15, and 20% and coarse aggregate by waste tyre rubber with the proportion of 5%by weight and compared with 21conventional specimens. The test result indicates that there was a small reduction in the strength with the 5% replacement in rubber content as compared with the conventional concrete. However, the increase of fly ash from 10% to 15% to 20% improved the mechanical properties of rubberized concrete. Finally it will suggest 20% replacement of fly ash with cement and 5% of waste tyre rubber with coarse aggregate will gives optimal and safest replacement in concrete composites.

  By applying Catalan conjectures given Diophantine equation 128x + 961y =z2 gives a unique non-negative integer solution, that is (1, 1, 33). And the given Diophantine equation can be reduced in the form of 2x+31y=z2, where x, y and z are non-negative integer. Which gives the solution (7, 2, 18).

  The basic approach to all piping systems is to write the Bernoulli equation between two points, connected by a streamline, where the conditions are known. For example, between the surface of a reservoir and a pipe outlet. The total head at point 0 must match with the total head at point 1, adjusted for any increase in head due to pumps, losses due to pipe friction and so-called "minor losses" due to entries, exits, fittings, etc.[1] Friction losses are a complex function of the system geometry, the fluid properties and the flow rate in the system which can be significantly reduced with the help of optimized geometry and thereby reducing minor losses and losses due to system geometry. It is apparent that the optimized design is better than the conventional design of T-joint.

  Aloe vera is a succulent plant species that belongs to the family Xanthorrhoeaceae. It is a valuable ingredient in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic inductries. In ayurvedic medicine it is called kathalai and has been widely used in the traditional herbal medicine of many countries. The species has been extensively used in herbal medicine since the beginning of the first century AD. Extracts from Aloe vera are widely used in cosmetics and alternative medicine industries, being marketed as having rejuvenating, healing and soothing properties although scientific evidence for its therapeutic effectiveness is limited and frequently contradictory. Aloe vera gel is also used commercially as an ingredient in yogurts, beverages and some desserts. It is also used as a moisturizer and anti-irritant on facial tissues. There is some evidence to suggest that oral administration of Aloe vera might be effective in reducing blood glucose in diabetic patients and in lowering lipid levels in hyperlipidaemia. Topical application of Aloe vera is also effective for genital herpes psoriasis. Various studies have been performed to confirm the biological and toxicological properties of the plant. A review on the various studies on the plant has been provided for the purpose of understanding its properties.

  High-performance concrete is defined as concrete that meets special combinations of performance and uniformity requirements that cannot always be achieved routinely using conventional constituents and normal mixing, placing, and curing practices. Ever since the term high-performance concrete was introduced into the industry, it had widely used in large- scale concrete construction that demands high strength, high flowability, and high durability. A high-strength concrete is always a high-performance concrete, but a high-performance concrete is not always a high-strength concrete. Durable concrete Specifying a high-strength concrete does not ensure that a durable concrete will be achieved. It is very difficult to get a product which simultaneously fulfill all of the properties. So the different pozzolanic materials like Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag (GGBS), silica fume, Rice husk ash, Fly ash, High Reactive Metakaolin, are some of the pozzolanic materials which can be used in concrete as partial replacement of cement, which are very essential ingredients to produce high performance concrete. So we have performed XRD tests of these above mentioned materials to know the variation of different constituent within it. Also it is very important to maintain the water cement ratio within the minimal range, for that we have to use the water reducing admixture i.e superplasticizer, which plays an important role for the production of high performance concrete. So we herein the project have tested on different materials like rice husk ash, Ground granulated blast furnace slag, silica fume to obtain the desired needs. Also X-ray diffraction test was conducted on different pozzolanic material used to analyse their content ingredients. We used synthetic fiber (i.e Recron fibe) in different percentage i.e 0.0%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3% to that of total weight of concrete and casting was done. Finally we used different percentage of silica fume with the replacement of cement keeping constant fiber content and concrete was casted. In our study it was used two types of cement, Portland slag cement and ordinary Portland cement. We prepared mortar, cubes, cylinder, prism and finally compressive test, splitting test, flexural test are conducted. Finally porosity and permeability test conducted. Also to obtain such performances that cannot be obtained from conventional concrete and by the current method, a large number of trial mixes are required to select the desired combination of materials that meets special performance.

  Non-Conventional Cutting having certain advantages of high accuracy, no direct contact of tool and workpiece so there is less/no wear etc. Hence, non-conventional type Laser cutting of sheet metals is widely used all over the world since it combines high speed with excellent cutting quality. Until now LASER is only used for straight metal cutting. By observing this we are going to introduce non-conventional turning by using LASER. It will reduce metal to metal contact. We are planning to achieve LASER cutting on cylindrical surface. For that we will make one fixture on which linear motion and rotary motion of job is carried out. By this synchronization, achieved turning will be measured in terms of surface roughness, material removal rate, etc.

  In an engine the piston converts thermal energy (force produced by thermal energy) into mechanical energy. It is important to select a proper material for piston. Continuous exposure to high pressure, high temperature and vibration could damage and reduce the life of the piston. Usually pistons are made of aluminium which is light in weight and good thermal conductivity. But it has poor hot strength and high coefficient of expansion make it unsuitable for this application, so in this study a suitable material for piston is found that can withstand the stated constraints and also provides a lesser weight to the engine. The piston was modelled using Solidworks 14 and Ansys 15 software was used for studying the thermal flux, static structural and temperature properties of the material amc225xe and was compared with the conventional aluminium material. amc225xe had better result compared to aluminium. Finally, as based on the analysed characteristics material amc225xe was selected as a suitable material for piston material.
