Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 9
Pages: 154 - 156
Proposed design is a remote location finding using SMS. We can get the GPS coordinates of the vehicle by sending an SMS to the mobile number present in this module. It contains an Arduino Board, GPS module and a GSM module. The Arduino waits for an SMS from the car owner to be received on the GSM module, when the SMS arrives Arduino fetches the GPS coordinates from the GPS module and then sends a SMS back to the car owner using the GSM module. This can be helpful in case of theft, unauthorized use or tracking of the vehicle using the GPS coordinates.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 9
Pages: 157 - 160
This paper is based on software application for mobile devices which is used to automate the Fine Collection System. The drivers will be issued with new multi-application driving licenses based on contactless smart cards. The new licenses will be introduced by RTO, the police department, which will use electronic driving license technology. The driving licenses include storage area. This space will be used to store driving license data which will be read by NFC phone so that it can be verified by police officers in cases involving suspected fraud or other criminality. The proposed system will also consist of a GPS tracking system in which the traffic police can enter the number plate and track town a criminal. The tracking device will be installed in the cars which will be sending data to the server and this data will be sent to the police tracking him. This system will be accurate and keep the records of all the criminal activity of and individual.

Departmental Information Management System (DIMS) mainly focuses on a simple interface for storing and Analyzing information of Students considering various aspects including Academic, Achievements, Sincerity and other parameters. The Data can be retrieved in Statistical form which aids in Performance and Progress of the Department in the Institution. It can be used by educational institutions to manage the records easily. The management of accurate and up-to-date information regarding a students’ academic career is critically important in the colleges. Departmental Information Management system deals with all kinds of student and staff details, academic related reports, college information, placement details and other resource related details too. Departmental information Management system have capabilities for registering students in courses, results of student tests and other assessment scores, building student Resume, tracking student attendance, Statistical analysis of marks obtained by students, Automated Messaging System for Providing Necessary Information and managing many other student-related data needs in an Institution. It will have information about faculty, batch execution details, and various academic notifications by the administrator.

Chemical Engineering
Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 9
Pages: 168 - 172
All advanced oxidation processes (AOP) are characterized by a common chemical feature: the capability of exploiting the high reactivity of HO radicals in driving oxidation processes. Photo catalytic oxidation is generally applied for treating waste water containing organic contaminants under mild conditions such as ambient temperature and pressure. In this study photo catalytic oxidation using TiO2 as photo catalyst was conducted in the apparatus setup made, for the study of basic physical parameters involved before and after treatment. Comparison of effective method and optimization of parameters involved in waste water is done. The BOD and COD reduction was effectively achieved well after photo catalytic oxidation. the effective degradation was well achieved by using the optimal conditions for temperature 40 degree Celsius ,Reaction time 45 minutes and Airflow rate 2.5l/min.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 9
Pages: 173 - 175
Cloud computing helps to serve services and resources on demand. From cloud service providers’ viewpoint, profit is one of the most important scrutiny, and it is mainly decided by the configuration of a cloud service platform under given market request. However, a Single Long-term Renting scheme (SLR) is adopted to configure a cloud platform, which neither guarantees the quality of services but also leads to wastage of resources. In this paper, a queuing model is used in order to provide services to the request made by user. A profit maximization problem is formulated for the double renting scheme which overcomes single renting scheme. The scheme not only guarantees the service quality of all requests, but also maximizes profit than the latter, by solving the profit maximization problem. Finally, in order to find out the profit maximization of the system, a comparison can be conducted with the single renting scheme.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 9
Pages: 176 - 180
An application has been developed to handle the situations of disaster efficiently by use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This application shall aim at providing an effective solution during disaster and help in minimizing its impacts. Application not only incorporates the maps of safe zones and evacuation zones but also at same time shall be able to send push notifications in alerting users about disaster in advance which directly shall help in restricting the impact of a disaster. The application shall make use of Java language in android application development, XML for layout designing and PHP for making web pages. There shall be an application component called an activity that shall provide a user interface with which users can interact in order to do something, such as dial the phone, take a photograph, send an email, or view a map.

Implementing an android application to provide digital health capabilities that consumers want the most. Access to electronic medical records (EMR) to provide location of patient in case of emergency, prescription and insurance management. The combination of healthcare and Information Technology has given rise to concepts like e-Health which aim at delivering healthcare services and information by using internet and related technologies. The android application’s in-built NFC writer is used to write patient unique id in NFC tag. Doctors using NFC enabled smart phone can retrieve patient information when placed near NFC tag. The system is patient-centric, which means that each action taken, relates to patient’s medical history or health care. Each patient is equipped with all-in-one medical card and is identified in the system with it. Patients can view their medical history, and insert prescription and insurance detail. Before taking an action, the patient has to identify himself in the system using the NFC card. The Emergency medical data access using NFC system aims at providing a digital environment for patients to interact with doctors efficiently at day-to-day bases and also in case of emergency.

Pages: 185 - 189
To design a disc type cam operated injector nozzle to improve the ignition characteristic of fuel. This project include the injector nozzle disc with holes for spray and cam mechanism for needle operation. Nozzle needle will be operated by camshaft instead of fuel pressure as operated in conventional fuel injection system. Disc will be placed at the tip instead of multi hole. Disc consist number of holes in specific pattern. Disc will be rotated to obtain the swirl flow & fuel will be injected in such a way that it will be completely mixed with the air to form a uniform mixture. By this swirl flow and wide spray injection the fuel will be properly mixes with air and desired output can be obtained. By this project it is assumed that ignition characteristics will be improved increase in efficiency increase in power and reduction in pollution.

Pages: 190 - 196
The richness and apparent stability of the iris texture make it a very strong biometric trait for personal authentication. The need of personal identification and security has increased a lot during recent times. A typical iris recognition procedure basically consists of four steps: image acquisition, segmentation, normalization and feature extraction. A very well-known existing technique, the Hough Transform has been implemented for detection of iris and pupil boundaries of the eyes. In the existing system the performance of system degrades due to noise effects and poor segmentation results. The noise in the form of eye lids is removed by Daugman’s method.
