The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) to provide for enhanced livelihood security for households in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in every financial year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work. As a legal right to work, MGNREGS contrast with previous employment- generation schemes in several aspects. The purpose of the study is to analyze the performance of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act in district Pauri Garhwal of Uttarakhand state. However, the paper finds large women participation under this scheme; highest number of assets is created in the area of rural connectivity and few in drought proofing.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 261 - 265
Current research in wireless networking technologies introduce several energy efficient routing protocols in sensor networks. These protocols aim to prolong the overall lifetime of network by reducing the energy consumption of nodes. Transfer of gathering information from the sensing field to the base station must be done in proficiently to sustain the network longer. Clustering is one of the process to achieve this goal. Cluster based hierarchical routing protocol have proven to be effective in management of network topology, minimize the energy level, data aggregation and so on. In this paper, we intend to discuss some of the major hierarchical routing protocols adhering towards sensor networks. Moreover, we examine and compare several aspects and characteristics of few explored hierarchical cluster-based protocols, and its operations in wireless sensor networks (WSN). This paper also presents a discussion on the future research topics and the challenges of hierarchical clustering in WSNs.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 266 - 286
The project is based on the recycling of the rapidly increasing construction and demolition waste. Through this process we want to take a step ahead, the idea of stopping illegal sand mining, earth excavation and ultimately save our mother Earth from destruction. The cost of recycled sand and aggregates is lower than conventional aggregates and sand, resulting in reduction of overall construction cost. Our primary aim is to study in depth about the different properties of construction and demolition waste, perform various tests, so that the recycling processes can be designed accordingly for optimum efficiency. On the basis of these test results and projections we will get a rough estimation about the total quantity of recycled aggregate and recycled sand that can be obtained. Further with the help of the obtained recycled material we intend to make various products such as concrete, paver blocks, hollow blocks, kerbstone etc which will in turn be less costly as well. These recycled materials and products made from it are economical without any considerable change in the strength and durability aspect. Not only the cost effectiveness but it will also be aesthetically pleasing.

Software Engineering
Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 287 - 290
Software cost estimation is the process of predicting the effort required to develop a software system. Many estimation models have been proposed over the last 30 years. With the development of software engineering, estimation of project cost and duration has been a very important work. It plays an important role in project bid and project planning. Many papers have been published regarding this topic, which aims at predicting costs of projects to a tolerable degree of accuracy at the early stage. In this paper, several existing fuzzy logic methods for software cost estimation are illustrated and they are compared with the intermediate COCOMO model. Comparing the features of the methods, it could be applied for clustering based on abilities and is also useful for selecting the special method for each project.

A Competent Storage of Data using De-Duplication in Cloud Computing
M.Shankari ; M.Sasikumar
Cloud Computing
Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 291 - 297
A Keeping critical data safe and accessible from several locations has become a global preoccupation, either being this data personal, organizational or from applications. As a consequence of this issue, we verify the emergence of on-line storage services. In addition, there is the new paradigm of Cloud Computing, which brings new ideas to build services that allow users to store their data and run their applications in the “Cloudâ€. By doing a smart and efficient management of these service’s storage, it is possible to improve the quality of service offered, as well as to optimize the usage of the infrastructure where the services run. This management is even more critical and complex when the infrastructure is composed by thousand of nodes running several virtual machines and sharing the same storage. The elimination of redundant data at these service’s storage can be used to simplify and enhance this management. A solution to detect and eliminate duplicated data between virtual machines that run on the same physical host and write their virtual disk’s data to a shared storage. A prototype that implements this solution is introduced and evaluated. Finally, a study that compares the efficiency of two different approaches used to eliminate redundant data in a personal data set is described.

Year: 2014, Volume:1, Issue : 7
Pages: 298 - 302
PEDM has become an important and cost-effective method of machining extremely tough and brittle electrically conductive materials. It is widely used in the process of making moulds and dies and sections of complex geometry and intricate shapes. The work piece material selected in this experiment is AISI D3 taking into account its wide usage in industrial applications. In today’s world 304 stainless steel contributes to almost half of the world’s production and consumption for industrial purposes. The input variable parameters are type of powder, current, pulse on time and powder concentration. Taguchi method is applied to create an L18 orthogonal array of input variables using the Design of Experiments (DOE). The effect of the variable parameters mentioned above upon machining characteristics such as Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Surface Roughness (SR) is studied and investigated. The tool material is copper. All the calculations are made with the help of MINITAB 16 software. Dielectric used for experimentation is kerosene. Two powders silicon carbide and boron carbide of 70 mesh is used. Most influence factor for MRR observed is powder concentration with 49.12 % contribution. For SR peak current with contribution of 43.4% plays an important role.

Today construction cost is very high with using routine material like cement, fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. This study includes use of different waste material as a partial replacement of cement or fine aggregate or coarse aggregate. Industries in India produce lots of waste which may be useful in partial replacement of all the raw materials due to their different properties So hereby we studied as many useful research papers in this field and trying to improve with locally available waste material so it can be proved economical as well. Research in this field and positive results are crucial so as to continue all developments with least damage to surrounding environment and obtaining all infrastructures for services and convenience which are desired to get.
