  With the development of cloud computing through virtualization technology, creation of VMs rapidly increasing, this in turn increases data centers. Backup in virtualized environments takes the snapshot of VM called VM image and moved to backup device. Data is duplicated by VMs for many purposes like backup, fault tolerance, consistency, disaster recovery, high availability, etc.,.This results in unnecessary consumption of resources, such as network bandwidth and storage space. Data Deduplication is a process of detecting and removing duplicate data thus the amount of data, energy consumption and network bandwidth is reduced. This paper describes Deduplication methods, several Deduplication techniques like Extreme Binning, MAD2, Multi-level Deduplication where Deduplication is performed in backup services. The paper also describes Cloudspider, Liquid Deduplication techniques for VM images in cloud environment, SAFE for Structured file and Email, On-Protocol DRE in wired, wireless and cellular networks, their comparison based on several factors.

  Many models for insertion/deletion channels are proposed and studied in the literature. In this paper, we consider binary channels impaired by independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) insertion and deletion errors, whose positions are unknown to either the transmitter or the receiver. An interleaved serial concatenation of an outer low density parity check code (LDPC) for error-correction with an inner marker code for synchronization was proposed. We implemented a single pass decoding algorithm, that is, marker code-based synchronization is performed only once per received packet to limit the decoding latency. Multi pass decoding algorithm is used when decoding latency is not an issue. Then we introduced an algorithm that works on groups of bits called symbol level synchronization algorithm, which improves the achievable rate.

  The advancement of concrete technology can reduce the consumption of natural resources and energy sources and lessen the burden of pollutants on environment. Presently large amounts of RHA are generated in Rural and Small Scale Industries with an important impact on environment and humans. In recent years, many researchers have established that the use of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) like fly ash (FA), blast furnace slag, silica fume, metakaolin (MK), and rice husk ash (RHA), hypo sludge etc. can, not only improve the various properties of concrete - both in its fresh and hardened states, but also can contribute to economy in construction costs.This research work describes the feasibility of using the RHA waste in concrete production as a partial replacement of cement. This present work deals with the effect on strength and mechanical properties of cement concrete by using RHA. The utilization of RHA in concrete as a partial replacement of cement is gaining immense importance today, mainly on account of the improvement in the long term durability of concrete combined with ecological benefits. RHA collection systems have resulted in improving the consistency of RHA. The use of RHA in concrete as a supplementary cementatious material was tested as an alternative to traditional concrete.The cement has been replaced by rice husk ash accordingly in the range of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% by weight of cement for mix. Concrete mixtures were produced, tested and compared in terms of compressive strengths with the Conventional concrete. These tests were carried out to evaluate the mechanical properties for the test results of 7, 28, 60 days for compressive strengths in MgSO4 solution of 1%,3%,5% and also durability aspect rice husk ash concrete for sulphates attack was tested. The result indicates that the RHA improves concrete durabilityThe workability of concrete with increase in percentages of RHA is determined by Slump Cone test, Compaction Factor test and Vee-Bee test as these tests are suitable for mixes of low workability.

  Recent advances in modern power semiconductor device technology have led to high utilization of PWM power converters in a wide number of applications such as high Voltage DC power supply, HVDC power transmission, induction heating, electronic lamp ballast etc. In PWM converter the power switches are switched at high frequency to reduce size of transformer and overall size, weight and cost. An attractive alternative for it is to replace the power switch by a “Resonant Switch” in which switching is done at zero voltage/zero current and this can be achieved by forcing voltage and current to pass through zero crossing by creating LC resonant circuit called resonant pulse converter. So switching losses are decreased and efficiency is improved which are mainly depending on the choice of switching frequency for the converter. The aim is to design a Resonant Converter capable of operating at high frequencies to achieve high power density and better performance for medium/high power DC power supply. To make the DC power supply smaller, a high frequency switching resonant converter should be adopted. As at lower switching frequencies and without use of resonant converter the switching losses (turn on and turn off losses) are significant part of power losses, which reduce the efficiency and increase the size of the converter.The proposed Resonant Converter is developed for high frequency and input DC is stepped down by resonant action. The switching losses are minimized and efficiency is improved as compared to conventional methods. It employs a control scheme to regulate its output voltage. The control scheme has been chosen by comparing different control methods. Finally the simulation of whole system has been done by PSIM software.

  The term high-strength concrete (HSC) is generally used for concrete with compressive strength higher than 41 MPa. ACI Committee had defined High Strength Concrete (HSC) is the concrete that can attain specified compressive strength for design of at least 41 MPa, or more. With the development of high grade cement and availability of proper mineral admixtures and chemical admixtures, it has become quite common to adopt concrete with compressive strength of 60 MPa and above. Development of high strength concrete has made it possible to build taller and long span structures. But it has been proved that the comparatively higher compressive strength of High Strength Concrete is an attractive profit from engineering characteristics and economic point of view whereas, the strength behaves against the ductility of concrete by welcoming brittleness pronouncedly. To improve the ductility of High Strength Concrete, a strategy is to introduce steel in High Strength Concrete which results in development of a material with reasonable tensile strength and greater toughness which prevents the initiation and propagation of cracks. In this study, an attempt has been made to study the Mechanical Properties of Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete using the steel fibers and mineral admixture materials like Silica Fume and Metakaoline. For this purpose along with a Control Mix, 15 sets were prepared to study the compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength. Each set comprises of 3 cubes, 2 cylinders and 2 prisms. Steel Fibers are used in addition to mineral admixtures such as Metakaoline, Silica Fume. 28-days Compressive test, Tensile Strength and Flexural Strength tests were performed in the hardened state.
