Pages: 128 - 134
For an underwater communication cost is not a factor for initial deployment of the system as the frequent maintenance is not practically possible. To design a reliable underwater communication system the main aims are long distance, secure and accurate. Some reliable approaches can be implemented by including different ideas such as compress and forward relay can be used to increase the data rate instead of AF relaying, as it is commonly used in previous researches, for frequency and time analyzing pilot based estimation with PN sequence can be used. In addition to this for providing high diversity MIMO system can be integrated. Zero force equalizer can be provided and adaptive filter is used for equalization, here RLS filter is used to avoid interferences. For the removal of channel error and burst error, a channel encoder and interleaver is used respectively. More important a fast converging estimation technique is used instead of MAP is MMSE. Minimum mean square error estimation is used, as it is suitable for practical deployment in underwater. Thus a reliable design for UWAC for practical implementation is proposed and its performance exhibits excellent simulation results.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 135 - 138
Our given paper is based on web security for Facebook users that access and use Facebook applications and are unaware of the security threats that these applications pose. In the given paper we identify such malicious applications not only based on their general characteristics, but also the specific parameters of the applications, identified based on the study. Malicious applications [1] can be identified and the user that wishes to access the particular application is alerted even before the application is installed on to the user profile. This prevents the user’s security from being harmed by the application. Also the proposed system identifies the malicious applications that are not very popular unlike the existing system. The malicious applications harm the security and the privacy of the vast user base of the social networking giant- Facebook, and this is points that have been taken into consideration in the given paper.

Pages: 139 - 142
Rotary machine elements having an important role in rotating machinery. During Operation machine elements like bearing are under heavy loads. Under heavy loading conditions, the defects are gradually induced in the bearing. Due to these defects it is required to find, locate and analyse the faults for reliable operations. This defect generates vibration along with noise. Vibration signals helps to find severity of fault. This paper attempts to summarize the recent research and developments in rolling bearing vibration analysis techniques. Bearing defects and bearing characteristic frequencies (BCF) are also discussed.

Energy Efficient Way to Detect Black Hole Attack in MANETs
Harsimran Kaur ; Kamaljeet Mangat
Computer Science and Engineering
Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 143 - 150
Mobile Ad hoc Networks(MANETs) consists of mobile nodes that are interconnected by wireless network interfaces to create a temporary network, each node among the MANET works as a host as well as a router while receiving data nodes help other nodes to forward packets. The wireless nature of the communication makes these networks susceptible to various kinds of security threats. Since these networks lack any central authority, so any intruder can steal the information from the network. Black hole is one such attack which intends to claim shortest path to the destination and then drops the data packets received by it. This paper presents the technique to detect the black hole attack but also in an energy efficient way. The proposed scheme has been compared on the basis of the remaining energy, throughput as well as packet delivery ratio. These parameters have showed an improvement over the existing scheme.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 151 - 155
This is an android application which is a combination of further two android applications, the first is code scan and other is antitheft. This application is used when we need to gather information of the taxi by which we are travelling for the safety and to trace the misplaced cell phone. When users would open the app, two options would be provided code scan and Antitheft. On choosing code scan option users are again provided with two options, first is scanning QR code and the other is scanning barcode. In both the scanning, the QR code or barcode get scanned and all the information stored in the code like Driver Name, Address , Phone Number are sent to the numbers which are already stored in the database and in the Antitheft, the users would be able to trace the location of the misplaced cell phone through the SMS.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 156 - 160
In this paper we represent use of Buck- Boost Converter for wind energy control. We can overcome the problem of the voltage variation of the electrical output from windmill. So the output voltage will be constant throughout generation of electricity. Eventually there have been much advancement in wind technology but the technological advancements are still needed for wind power control for different loading conditions. By using the buck booster convertor, we can keep the voltage constant which is helping for distribution the electricity during any environmental condition. The power is controlled with the help of Buck-Boost Converter connected across the dc link to keep constant voltage supply at output side. The simulation is carried on MATLAB/ SIMULINK.

Pages: 161 - 167
Online Performance Analysis System is a web application that provides the collaborative platform for institutes and the students. Purpose of this system is to fulfil the requirements of the institutes to conduct the exams online. The Examiner can enter questions manually or through the CSV file in the database. The Examinee can give different types of test like challenge test, time test, practice test, etc. according to their choice. Practice test will be set by Examiner only. After finishing the test Examinee can view the result on the screen. Examinee can also download the result which will be sent to their email with topic wise suggestions. Examinee can also view different performance graphs like based on single exam or by combination of two or more exams.

Durability Studies on Concrete by using Groundnut Shell Ash as Mineral Admixture
Dharani D ; Arivu Thiravida Selvan V; Subhabharathi P
Civil Engineering
Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 168 - 172
This paper illustrates about the use of groundnut shell ash as a mineral admixture for partial replacement of cement. Chemical analysis for groundnut shell ash was carried out, it shows that it have better pozzolanic properties. Effect of groundnut shell ash for M25 grade of concrete was investigated. Cement is partially replaced with 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% of groundnut shell ash. Compressive strength test should be carried at 7 and 28 days of curing. The results shows that compressive strength of concrete increases at 10% replacement, after that it get decreases due to presence of potassium oxide in ash content which disrupts the concrete. The durability test shows that the GSA concrete is better resistance to acid, chloride and water absorption.

Production & Industrial Engineering
Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 173 - 177
The purpose of this study is to examine the mechanical behaviour of vegetable oil & fly ash reinforced Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) composite, to develop more stable and flexible PVC. Vegetable oils can be easily used with PVC due to their availability, biodegradability, low cost, low toxicity& environmental characteristics whereas Fly ash is also easily available at low cost. Here Epoxidised Vegetable Oils (EVOs) are used at the place of phthalates in PVC to make it non-toxic and Fly ash is added to increase mechanical properties.

In this project we propose a design of wheelchair whose backrest and a footrest can be controlled through a switch by the patient which will convert the wheel chair into a stretcher. This helps the patient to rest without getting shifted to a bed. This will also eliminates the efforts of assistant required for handling of handicap patients by providing an arrangement of desk with wheelchair .An arrangement of alarm will provide to make alert the persons nearby if the patient needs any help. We went through a number of designs before arriving on the final design. Our requirement of motion could be achieved either with the help of belt and pulley arrangement or through gear transmission. Belt and pulley arrangement was avoided because of the high speed reduction and the factors like slip and weight involved. The purpose of locking also could not be addressed easily in this arrangement. The idea of spur gear transmission was also eliminated because the requirement of high torque, self-locking could not be satisfied. Also, this arrangement demanded two separate motors. Considering the above mentioned shortcomings, Worm and Worm wheel arrangement was selected. The advantage of this drive was it provided self-locking, since the motion is transmitted only from the worm to the worm wheel and not the other way round. The arrangement was compact too. Chain and sprocket arrangement has been used for transmitting the motion provided by the motor through Worm and Worm wheel arrangement. Another advantage is, it provides high speed reduction.
