Pages: 239 - 246
This paper aims at investigating the effect of the nano technique delivery systems on the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of different bioactive components. Thymol, carvacrol, linalool and eugenol hydrophobic compounds were encapsulated in dextran of oil-in-water (o/w) nanos prepared by ultrasonic homogenization method and stabilized by different types of emulsifier Tween 20, 40 or 80 and distilled water. The results showed that the reducing power, antioxidant capacity, H2O2 scavenging and antioxidant activity of un-encapsulated eugenol was the highest percent compared others essential oils. The highest essential oils nanoencapsulated yield (EY%) and efficiency (EE%) were observed for eugenol 91.74 and 97.81 %, respectively by using Dex/T20 treatment. Nano technique of eugenol can enhance the aqueous solubility of eugenol at 25, 35 and 45 °C. Thermal stability of eugenol increased from 63.5 to 143 °C after nano technique by using Differential Scanning Coliremetry. Antioxidant activity of nanoencapsulated eugenol 0.5 mg/ml in linolic acid system compred with BHT activity at different periods storage were 98.97, 98.42, 98.12 and 97.89 % at 0, 60, 120 and 180 days, respectively. Sensory evaluation of jelly prepared with different levels of nano-encapsulated eugenol compared to 1% its un-encapsulated showed the Dex/T20 (0.3 %) formation was the most accepted by testers. The antimicrobial activity of nano-encapsulated eugenol was measured against three different microorganisms, such as Molds & yeasts, coliforms and salmonella. Significance and Impact of the Study: nano technique affects positively essential oils main compounds, improves antioxidant activity and retains antimicrobial activity, enhancing the quality of the oils.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 254 - 256
Open dumpsites are known to represent a huge hazard to general wellbeing and nature. With few building measures at all, these transfer offices can debase groundwater and surface waters, dirty the air, draw in creepy crawlies, vermin and other potential bearers of infections, degrade properties and a large group of other negative effects. Since every city, region or town has no less than one open dumpsite (or shares one with its neighbors), these transfer offices are one of the biggest wellsprings of potential contamination to the groups facilitating them. It is basic that these open dumpsites be shut when handy. Be that as it may, shutting an open dumpsite does not just mean relinquishing it. Disintegration by-items are created long even after its conclusion, in this manner, requiring fitting arranging and satisfactory long haul support. Something else, these open dumps will keep on posing dangers to groups long after it has stopped operations.

Interlocking bricks masonry has gained rapid popularity in many foreign countries as an alternative to conventional bricks for sustainable housing. It is being always challenge for researchers to make interlocking brick with light weight material at low cost and improve the performance against aggressive environment. An experimental effort made in this concern. The results of an experimental investigation in which the compressive strength, water absorption and density were investigated by using varying percentage of fly ash, stone dust, and sand with different mix proportion. Mainly the weakest part of a masonry wall is the mortar joint, as the substitution of lime for aggregate reduces the overall strength of the joint. A manmade fibre ,fly ash, glass fibre reinforce polymer (GFRP), scoria aggregates, EPS beads utilize as reinforcing material to produce the interlocking blocks which gives appreciable results discuss in detail. The experimental results compared with that ordinary brunt clay brick and interlocking brick found durable in aggressive environments and have sufficient strength for their use in sustainable building construction.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 267 - 271
Cancer is one of the most flourishing diseases of all over the world. Cancer incidences and death rates are rapidly increasing world widely. The cancer occurrence could be associated with various environmental, social, cultural, life-style, hormonal and genetic factors [4]. In addition smoking, reduced physical activity and consumption of highly processed and calorie-rich food are the major causes of cancer. There are many types of cancer treatments available now, but all of them have some associated side effects. Chemotherapy is the most effective and widely used treatment in most types of malignancies [1]. It was thought that chemotherapy drugs specifically kill the cancer cells only but now it is well known that it also damages to the normal cells resulting the chemotherapy dose dependent side effects such as fatigue, nausea, hair loss vomiting, etc. and even death may also occur in severe cases [4]. The main strategy of chemotherapy drugs based on the phenomenon that these drugs selectively target the tumor cells, largely by the means of genotoxicity partially caused by the production of reactive oxygen species, which does not specifically damages the cancer cells but also the normal cells. In this study, the method and side effects of chemotherapy treatment for cancer is discussed. In particular the side effects of chemotherapy treatment for lung cancer.

Year: 2017, Volume:3, Issue : 10
Pages: 276 - 281
Multipath fading degrades the performance of wireless communication system significantly as data rate increases. In-order to combat with multipath fading, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) have been used in existing systems. Another effective method is a code division multiple access (CDMA) scheme. It has used extensively for relay network communication systems. In this paper consists of uplink CDMA relay networks and downlink CDMA relay networks. The uplink CDMA relay networks consist of multiple sources, multiple relays and a single destination. In downlink CDMA relay networks consist of a single source, multiple relays and multiple destinations. The objective of the paper is to propose a unique, simple method of finding optimum non-binary pseudo noise (PN) spreading and de-spreading sequences. This employs maximum signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) criterion and channel state information (CSI). The use of SIC helps to reduce multi-user interference caused. Effective encoding and decoding scheme is used compared to existing works. Also examines the sensitivity of the schemes to 1-bit quantization, wideband jamming, mistiming alignment. Simulation results shows that the proposed method converges much faster in finding optimum PN sequences compared to existing systems.
