This paper represents the portability of resistance spot welding machine and study of various factors like the thermo-effect of nugget growing in single-phase AC resistance spot welding and heating of electrodes during spot resistance welding. The designed welding machine is very less in weight with same strength of the regular spot welding machine with more degree of freedom to work with. The first thing is the fabrication of the portable spot welding machine which is divided into two phases, first is the formation of basic circuit of machine which includes small transformer of 1.2KVA with output voltage 0 to 2volt with 2-gauge wire & power switch and second is the formation of body and arm mechanism of the machine. Also the study is on various the factors which come into light when process of spot welding takes place. One such factor is nugget formation. The nugget formed in the work piece plays a crucial role in joining structure. Nugget forming process is not visible and also hard to test.

Pages: 69 - 73
Since it is necessary to store data on different storage devices so to have privacy and security. It is desirable to encrypt the data before storing them. As the data is stored in a third party storage device in encrypted form it is very difficult to search data in its encrypted form, thus making the retrieval process difficult in large scale databases. There are many mechanisms to search and retrieve the encrypted data. The most trending searching method is based on keyword search on public key cipher texts. Existing systems takes enormous time to search and retrieve the encrypted set of keywords. This paper proposes a semantically secure searching mechanism by structuring the searchable cipher text with hidden relations with trapdoor corresponding to each keyword providing minimum information about the relation to the search algorithm. Here we add a ranking system for faster retrieval of frequently used files. This feature is useful when there is huge number of matched files, but the user only needs a small subset from those files hence by reducing the overall searching overhead.

Pages: 78 - 85
Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are major threat to the internet and is a serious cyber-crime. The rapid increase in number of people using internet and the development of technology has given birth to new virus and worms which can exploit our system. Attackers use the latest techniques to perform DoS attacks. There are numerous tools to perform DoS attack from millions of compromised system and can mess up any system or network in short period of time. There are many well-known counter measures available like puzzle based defense mechanism. However an attacker can inflate the ability of DoS attack in solving the puzzle by using cheap and widely available GPUs. Software Puzzles are effective against such resource inflated attacks. But this alone doesn’t has a strategy to avoid unfairly delay of time during slower traffic. In this work, we propose a simple firewall architecture to prevent DoS attacks and GPU inflated DoS attacks. The proposed architecture has three stages, (i) attack detection, (ii) rate limiting and (iii) software puzzle. The traffic is analyzed, and if there is a scenario of a heavy traffic or an attack, the rate limiting technique is executed and then software puzzle are given to each and every requests to prevent users from using GPUs to solve the puzzles.

Year: 2016, Volume:3, Issue : 5
Pages: 86 - 91
The present study was conducted on “strategies used by the parents of preschoolers to develop sharing and conflict resolutionâ€. With the aim to assess the type of sharing and conflict of preschooler and to know the role of parents in conflict resolution. The self-constructed questionnaire was used in the present study. For analyzing the data following statistical measures were used such as chi- square, frequencies. The result of the study revealed that they show good sharing simultaneously the level of conflict is higher and it was also found that an age difference of sibling does effect sharing between them and the majority of parents playing constructive role for resolving the conflict.

Pages: 96 - 99
In this thesis CrN is used as PVD coating material on 316L grade austenitic stainless steel material at different coating thicknesses and the variation in wear resistance is observed. 316L is a low carbon composition grade of austenitic stainless steel with properties like corrosion resistance, anti-bacterial and bio compatibility increases its range of applications. But it still lacks the properties like wear resistance and hardness which impose its limitation in the field of cutting tools. In this, the specimens were PVD coated with CrN, each at different coating thicknesses of 2-3, 4-5 and 9-10 µm. The coated specimens were tested for their wear resistance on a Pin on Disc wear testing machine at various loads. The specimens were then analyzed under Optical Microscope (OM) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to find the case depth and nature of wear respectively. The final calculated value of the wear of all samples is calculated and the rate of wear resistance derived. The results indicate an increase in wear resistance and hardness with continuous increase of coating thickness and making the 9-10 µm samples more reliable compared to the other.

Cassandra - A Progressive Database Management System

Year: 2016, Volume:3, Issue : 5
Pages: 100 - 102
Traditional Relational Database Management systems were the main data stores for most of the business applications for over 20 years. Then in order to handle new data access patters new databases like Oracle, MySQL were introduced that had RDBMS roots. Currently, more change is required since applications must now scale up that were unimaginable just a few years ago. Not only scaling; companies require features like their applications are always available and lightning fast, and this is where RDBMS databases fail. This is where Cassandra is introduced. As for availability, Cassandra delivers a world where an application can lose an entire datacenter and still perform as if nothing happened. In this paper we propose a brief overview of Cassandra for people wondering whether Cassandra is right for them and also uniquely addresses the next phase of growth in the modern database marketplace.

High electron mobility transistor-a review on analytical models

Year: 2016, Volume:3, Issue : 5
Pages: 103 - 114
In recent years, high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) have attracted much attention in high-speed and high-power applications. One of the most interesting properties of these devices is the formation of the two-dimensional electron gas (2-DEG) with a very high electron mobility at the hetero interface. AlGaAs/GaAs HEMTs have been and are promising candidates for high speed and mm-wave applications. GaN-based HEMTs have attracted much attention for application in high-frequency and high-power devices due to the large bandgap, high saturated electron velocity, and high breakdown electric field. Significant improvements in the fabrication and performance of high electron mobility transistors (HEMT) have stimulated a considerable interest in the modeling of such structures. In this paper, we review working principle and various structures of HEMT, also different analytical models available for HEMT.
