  In this paper, I will present the design of a multi-sensor based Smart Home system. Smart home innovation has been around for some time as home automation gadgets, software, and applications, for the most part, revolved around specific tasks or rooms. The capacity to incorporate different systems and be constantly learning and adjusting through complex information examination is the following phase of artificial intelligent home integration. This learning procedure controls a unified framework that coordinates the significant frameworks in a home – lighting, warming, security, sound, blinds. In this situation, a smart home resembles an ecosystem, administered by a central brain, and controlled by means of a smartphone.

  Solar water heaters -- also called solar domestic hot water systems -- can be a cost-effective way to generate hot water for your home. They can be used in any climate, and the fuel they use – sunshine is free. Energy in the form of heat is required for diverse applications in various sectors including domestic, agricultural, commercial and industrial sectors. As there is a gap between demand and supply of thermal energy, it is essential not only to design and fabricate novel evacuated tubular systems but also to evaluate the thermal performance of existing evacuated tubular systems so as to match the demand and supply of heat energy. In this connection, the present investigation was carried out with specific objectives in connection with design, development and experimental evaluation of the thermal performance of the evacuated tube assisted systems for the design and fabrication of the solar water heater to use unconventional energy as a means to obtained hot water for domestic applications, at comparatively low cost and high capacity by the use of material like plastic lateral tubes, HDPE pipe, old glasswool, thermocol, plastic drum , G.I. sheet collect or boxes. India is blessed with solar energy in abundance at no cost. Solar water heating systems has been widely used in various industrial applications. Solar water heating collectors capture and retain heat from the sun and transfer this heat to a liquid. Solar water heating (SWH) is the conversion of sunlight into renewable energy for water heating using a solar thermal collector. Solar water heating systems include storage tanks and solar collectors. There are two types of solar water heating systems: active, which have circulating pumps and controls, and passive, which do not.

  The word Automobile comes, via the French automobile from the ancient greek word (autos, self) and the latin mobiles (Movable), means a vehicle that moves itself. The alternate name Car is believed to originate from the latin word Carrus or Carrum (Wheeled Vehicle), or the English/Frence Carre (Cart). An automobile or car is a wheeled vehicle used for the transportation of passengers, goods on public roads. Automobile manufacturing has changed the face of the world during 20th century, particularly in the United States of America, Great Britain, India, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Canada, China, France, Australia and other industrialized nations. The manufacture and service of automobiles has become key elements of industrial economics. The typical automobile, also called a car, auto, motorcar, and passenger car, has four wheels and can carry upto five people, including a driver. Large vehicles designed to carry more passengers are called vans, minivans, omnibuses, or buses. Those used to carry cargo are called pickups or trucks, depending on their size and design. Minivans are van-style vehicles built on a passenger car frame that can usually carry upto eight passengers. Sport-utility vehicles also known as SUV’s are more rugged than passenger cars and are designed for driving in mud and snow.   Hydraulic structures are planned and built to behave safely during their design period. For understanding and to study the behaviour of concrete structure, instrumentation in the foundation and the body of structure is very much essential. With the continuous service, structures are developing cracks and joints due to concentration of stresses. These cracks and joints are required to be monitored, analysed and find out its effect of the safety of the structure. There is no standard method for selection of instrument location for measuring crack dimensions. However, instruments can be installed according to anticipation and assumptions of cracks during design. To study the variation of cracks in x, y and z directions, 2D and 3D crack monitors are usually installed across the cracks. Cracks are random discontinuities whereas joints are predetermined discontinuities. For crack/joints movement monitoring, usually, crack width and relative slip is measured. This paper discusses the comparison of the pattern of relative movement of crack in 2-dimensional (2D) and 3- dimensional (3D) directions by using 2D and 3D crack monitors data in Y-direction (across the crack) or closing and widening of crack in the powerhouse structure of 92 m high Rihand Dam, Uttar Pradesh, India.

  In this paper, experimental study on the flexural behavior of Concrete Sandwich Composite slabs were reported. Single point flexure test on three slabs varying in core elements such as providing horizontal and vertical polypropylene sheets to the slab panel. The dimensions of the slabs are 1.00 x 1.00 x 0.15 m. These slabs are casted using self-compacting concrete.The experimental tests include the testing of panels under static loading. Load is applied using a 500kN hydraulic jack. Linear voltage displacement transducers with 50 mm gauge range are used to measure the transverse deflections.The test results includes theultimate load-bearing capacity, load-deflection profiles, typical modes of failure and cracking patterns under constantly increasing the loads were discussed.

  The main motive behind the composite construction is to make two different materials of different properties to combine together to resist the externally applied load. An experimental investigation was carried out with 6 simply supported beam specimens to understand the flexural behaviours. Out of the 6 beams two beams were composite beams and the rest of the four beams were composite beams with 2 different type of shear connectors. The cross section of the beams were kept such that, span to depth ratio is 8. The grade of concrete used was M30 and the grade of steel used is Fe415. The connection between the steel and the concrete section was provided using C-shear connectors, Stud-shear connectors. The beam specimens were tested by subjecting them to two point loading and the cracking load, load-deflection behaviour, ultimate load and failure pattern of the beam specimens were studied. The experimental results indicate that, the load carrying capacity of the composite beams was increased by 20%. The mid-span deflections at ultimate load for the composite beams were reduced by 50% when compared to control beams. It was observed that, the steel-concrete composite beams failed due to shear-compression failure in the shear span.

  This research uses Machine learning (image mining techniques) for detecting smoke through an image or frame using difference in luminance and chrominance of the red and blue color. The smoke generated usually has peculiar color which can be used for it to be differentiated between a fog and smoke. This paper uses the color model and principal component analysis to effectively differentiate between smoke and other background objects. The methods used for color modeling is YCbCr and the algorithm proposed. This article considers an image as linear blending of smoke component and background component. Under this assumption this paper discusses a model and its solution using the concept of PCA.

  The increase in the emission of CO2 has led to an adverse effect to the environment. The level of CO2 has increased beyond 400ppm from 200ppm. One of the primary culprits is the Public Utility Vehicles (PUV). However, BS4 engines has reduced the emission, still the emission is above the required level. Emission of CO2 varies at different levels of vehicle’s state such as road grade, acceleration and vehicle’s specific power. To minimize the emission, MQ6 gas sensor is used provide frequent updation to the micro controller and mobile application of the driver. Once the threshold level has reached and if the driver still continues to drive ignoring the warning message, the ignition of the vehicle is turned off and the vehicle’s ID along with its location is sent to the pollution control board. This makes the monitoring simple which controls the CO2 emission. Thus, the air pollution could be maintained from the major factor.

  The natural fiber composites in India based on a two pronged strategy of preventing depletion of forest resource as well as ensuring good economic returns for natural fibers. Kenaf & Abaca based composite developed as substitutes for plywood & medium density fiber boards. In this project natural fiber composites fabricated, by combining materials of Kenaf & Abaca in chopped form by hand lay method. In this composite, Epoxy resin used as a matrix material. The NFR composite made in different fiber volume fraction such as 17.5% of Kenaf and 17.5% Abaca, 35% of Kenaf, 35% Abaca. The mechanical properties of this sample investigated according to the ASTM standards. From the result it observed that the 35% of Kenaf and 35% of Abaca fiber reinforcement showed the highest tensile strength and impact strength respectively among the other fiber volume fraction.

  This project is derived from IoT. The principle behind this project is to construct a control system which effectively does the job of monitoring industrial parameters utilizing IoT. It aims to monitor temperature, pressure and humidity of an industrial environment. IoT or internet of things is a tool which has extensive use in today’s technological era. It is made by clubbing communication & embedded systems which are then used for potent transmission and reception of data. Using IoT different systems can implement industry standard protocols. By this system small scale industries can monitor their plants wirelessly through devices such as mobiles and tablets. From the mode of this paper we aspire to summarize IoT’s importance which does handy monitoring of small scale industrial applications.
