The purpose of this paper is to introduce the area of speech synthesis by giving an overview of the three main methods of the speech synthesis as concatenative synthesis, articulatory synthesis and formant synthesis. To build a natural s speech synthesis system, it is essential that the text processing component produce a sequence of phonemic units corresponding to the arbitrary input text.
