Abstract:

Motivation is a set of courses or action that are concerned with a kind of strength that boost up the performance and directs towards accomplishing some definite goals. Without motivating their employees organizations can’t run and can’t achieve their goals. It is the descriptive survey addressed seven motivating factors in the context of employee motivation theory. To describe the ranked importance of the following seven motivating factors: ((1) Good working conditions, (2) challenging work, (3) wages, (4) job security (5) job promotion and growth within the organization, (6) Appreciation & Recognition of work done, (7) Management loyalty to employees. Data were collected through a well-structured questionnaire delivered to the employees of the organization. Findings of the study suggest that job security, good wages, and job promotion and growth within the organization are key factors to higher employee motivation. Purposefully designed reward systems that include job enlargement, job enrichment, promotions, internal and external stipends, monetary, and non-monetary compensation should be considered.
