|
Soil stabilization is done with the addition of lime and sisal fiber. The lime is added with varying percentages of lime are 2,5,9 and 12% and sisal fiber is added with varying percentages of sisal fiber and with varying lengths of sisal fiber are 0.2,0.5,0.9 and 1.2% with 3 to 3.4cm length at the interval of 0.2cm.To know the basic properties of the laboratory tests have been conducted. From results we came to know that the liquid limit, plastic limit and specific gravity of lime are decreases .In the addition of lime, the optimum moisture content and maximum dry density are increased at 9% lime. then unconfined compressive strength and California bearing ratio values are also increased at 9% lime. The addition of Sisal fiber the optimum moisture content and maximum dry density are increased at 0.5% sisal fiber then unconfined compressive strength and California bearing ratio are also increased at 0.5% sisal fiber. Taking optimum value of lime and as per highest value of aspect ratio of sisal fiber(l/d =170) at 3.4cm length with varying percentages of sisal fiber are 0.2,0.5,0.9 and 1.2.From this will get the maximum result in 9% lime with 0.5 sisal fiber. |
